The blind saw the Change

I took you home, believed you were alive
I watched you change, into a lie
As I looked away, you chewed out my eyes
You set my ignorant soul on fire

I see now, you never had wings
You may feel alive, but even without eyes
I watched you change, into the lies
And deny

Your words are old, hallow, and abused
I saw the change, and my mind was renewed
You can't see the lies, as you live under glass
Ready to break if only you knew, had eyes to see
It is a poor reflection of the real around you!

I see now, you never had wings
You may feel alive, but even without eyes
I watched you change, into the lies
And deny

Feel all you want, I'll repulse and deny the lie
That you ever were something more, than the change
Keep yourself under glass, blame the poor vision
Of those around you, don't ever examine it, or really change
Or you might blow your dreams of a false heart in reality away
Tell the driver shut up and drive, as he's always to blame!

I see now, you never had wings
You may feel alive, but even without eyes
I watched you change, into the lies
And deny
