Ode to the Skies

Woe to darkness
The womb where I rest
An omen or an ode to black skies
Tortured by winds of plague and death

Overhead while skies are blazen
December's chill is vanquished
As another dies trapped in enslavement
A purchased life daily poisoned

Parents let alone in semi peaceful slumber
Treating strangers in daylight with ignorant respect
The evil we know of them brings fear every night

Blazen skies tormented with hurricane winds
Breaths life as a virus into open wounds
And another child's blue skies darken

A plague of mental trauma keeps them wide awake
The mellow sound on rooftop of the poison rain
Corruption lies in the home just as it does in globalization
We've forgotten why we slave each day
For a future not for a debt to pay or comfort in deceptive pleasures

So you would slave for your own child's daily future
But would you fight for a cure
To remove the cancer that kills them slowly
Would you die to have it distributed equality
Would you kill to save their life
another child's blue skies darken

Why not give up a comfortable life
Stop hiding your conscious morality
Behind vast amounts of escape acts such as TV
another child's blue skies darken

Look back at your own legacy
Did you enjoy your own life
What about the children you leave behind
another child's blue skies darken
