Citizens of Slavery

For the pulpit's wealth confirming promises
You gave yourself over to a salvation buried deep underground
In hell shall you find the gold promised by your unholy god
For while children just like yours died you gave no appeal
Just like when you turned away as God drew his plans for caring

Remember Nancy who was the office clerk
Whoring her body but never like you her soul
To feed her children after hours & behind closed doors
Your courage carried you behind church's pews
To pray selfishly for more comfort and health for your kin
While the chivalry of one married her with knowledge of it all
You burned their lives down casting them out with gossip
So in turn God will rescue your soul
Sending you deep into the eternal sulfurous underground

You died serving the plague of the pulpit
Neglecting the church outside its own front doors
Now you pray to persuade any God to rescue you

I tell you the truth
In hell will you be
When in heaven beside you stands the likes of me
Citizens of the uncared for, the vast nations of slavery
You let it happen encouraged it all as our lives burned down

For the pulpit's wealth confirming promises
You gave yourself over to a salvation buried deep underground
In hell shall you find the gold promised by your unholy god
For while children just like yours died you gave no appeal

You believe in a new heavenly body
Will this vile hide shade the suffering at your hands
For heaven's eternal wrath shall be forever before your eyes
The children who died for your denied globalization dream
Now walk forever before your soul's consciousness

You died serving the plague of the pulpit
Neglecting the church outside its own front doors
Now you pray to persuade any God to rescue you

I tell you the truth
In hell will you be
When in heaven beside you stands the likes of me
Citizens of the uncared for, the vast nations of slavery
You let it happen encouraged it all as our lives burned down

I promise in heaven you'll never suffer alone
And as I watch your soul fall in ruins
I don't mind at all I pray it never stops
You chose to be numbered thus
Amongst the apocalypse of selfishness

Cry in the alleyways never a peaceful sleep
While the once impoverished live in your mansions
You fucked up got your toe stuck in the door of heaven
When God let you in there too was free will
And so suffer more so than in living life you did
As the citizens of slavery sing in beautiful unison
