Christ ashamed at what we deny
The book speaks but we pretend to unknow
Context and conditions of comfort
Soon it will all die away as ignorance ends

As Christ approached
The crowds of earth fled
Without resurrection he left
Shame overtaken him
Back to heaven he went
Pretending he had never left

For His people practiced selfish security
And forgot the purpose he was sent
To turn away others which is to regress
Grace like love is for the chosen

Soon redemption shall be
Not for the chosen
But only for the colour blind
For the children starving
For the widow who lives alone
For those who chose to change

Salvation is shameless
Just as truth was written
Is faith corresponding in action

As angels approach
The host meats its end
Scorched earth policy
Where nothing will live again
