All I desire this Christmas
Is a silence so loud it breaks the cycle
Before the monetary all turns to rust
Opens our eyes to the need outside
Like the wind pounding outside
On a deadly cold oh silent night
When children die starving
Pitched in a ditch of freezing water
All I desire for Christmas
As the rain hail and snow falls down tonight
Is a not so silent knight
Which burns all our greed away
Opens our eyes to the hunger
Food not presents needed for those locked outside
Like the wind pounding outside
On a deadly cold silent night
When children's blood stains the ground
Pitched in a ditch of freezing water
Starved to death or some curable disease
The power was with us to change thus
All I desire for Christmas
Is a silence so loud it breaks the chains
That enslave our minds to ignorance
To the grievous wounds outside
By our own negligence we kill
As the rain pours down outside
The wind pounds like war tonight
Until all our greed dreams are dead
And we're left in a society of decay
