At the loss of the their unforgettable lives
Like the children of the black tide
Here your photos instill images of genocide
Congolese women being raped in the streets
While children starve on dusty streets

I'd trade a thousand years of comfort
For a dirt mound and a microphone
To display a daydream of equal life

You imbue a curse and years later beg forgiveness
Why do your people never come to see
That eventually no one will care when your country is weak
All your strong allied ties are dead and gone
Into the illusion you crept now it reveals the fall

You beg forgiveness but the truth is that you burned that bridge
Long ago when your military presence
